Much of my current work involves recording soundscapes urban and rural; peoples voices/stories; writing music around these sounds and stories.

My recent move back to my home town – Milton Keynes in North Buckinghamshire – has been inspirational. A unique ‘New Town’ embracing the natural,wild spaces with  modern architecture and style. Below is  photo of Grey Heron fishing on Grand Union Canal near to my home.

My new Performance and Presentations are

1. MEDIEVAL TO MISSISSIPPI : a lively and entertaining show featuring brief history of guitar, in which I play classical,Spanish and Mississippi Blues music along with my own songs and tunes.
Guitar,voice and Cuatro and anecdotes and stories from a career in music spanning forty years.

2. WHEN BIRDS SING: A digitally Illustrated Talk with my own recordings of Bird Songs and Calls. Just why does a small bird (Marsh Warbler) ’collect’ up to 250 other bird songs and calls on its migratory path from Africa to Northern Europe?
How many composers have been inspired by listening to bird song?
Why does the Dawn Chorus have such an emotional and calming effect on some Humans? Inspirational and thought-provoking presentation…be prepared to be amazed!
